The conference will take place from Thursday, March 30, 2023 to Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Our conference hotel is the Pittsburgh Sheraton Station Square (300 W Station Square Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15219). The room rate per night is $179.00 (single-quad room occupancy).
Call for Proposals
The Call for Proposals is now open until Monday, November 14th.

Limited Virtual Option
This year’s conference will include several virtual panel sessions prior to the in-person conference. Member institutions that are unable to attend in-person can register virtually for $325.
Access to recorded video of the Keynote Speaker, Author Talk, Presidential Address, and Awards Ceremony 2-3 weeks after the conference.
Opportunity to present in one of three formats – live paper presentation, live performance or short film, live art gallery presentation. These panel sessions will take place 2 weeks prior to the in-person conference and can be attended by all conference attendees.
Ability to submit pre-recorded Open Mic Night entries
The opportunity to maintain involvement in the Student Activities Committee
Access to attend Student Decompression Chambers and any virtual conference programming
Eligibility for awards and scholarships
Health and Safety Protocol
Registration for NRHC 2023 may require proof of Covid-19 vaccination uploaded to the registration system and/or a negative Covid-19 PCR or rapid test. NRHC reserves the right to adjust health and safety guidelines to correspond with CDC recommendations. In the event that proof of vaccination or a Covid-19 test are required, failure to produce the required documents may result in removal from the conference without refund.
Opportunities to Publish
We would like to encourage you to submit your presentation electronically to the NRHC journal, Illuminate. We encourage submissions across all presentation platforms. Proposers should consider the following guidelines:
For academic entries: please note that posters and/or PowerPoint presentations will not be considered. Illuminate only accepts academic papers of 5,000 words or less for consideration.
For art entries: students are invited to send a detailed summary of their art project and pictures for consideration.
Creative works: students are also invited to submit creative writing or other artistic pieces to the journal for consideration.
Full submission guidelines are available HERE. The form for submissions will be open by August 30, 2022 and submissions are due no later than May 20, 2023.
